LG-Abans sponsor Australia - Lanka cricket series

Abans has teamed up with LG Electronics of Korea to sponsor the cricket series between Australia and Sri Lanka scheduled to start next month.

The LG-Abans Cricket Series will consist of three test matches, five one-day internationals and two T-20 matches.

This sponsorship comes in the wake of LG's enhanced commitment to international sporting events. LG has supported many top class world sporting events including the 2011 Cricket World Cup and has already committed to sponsor the T-20 Cricket World Cup 2012 to be held in Sri Lanka and the 2015 Cricket World Cup.

LG also sponsored the Triangular Cricket Series held in Sri Lanka in 2001.

LG's investment in the Australia-Sri Lanka Cricket Series is a bid to further strengthen its brand image.

It is confident that it is far ahead of competitor brands in Sri Lanka and has recognised that Sri Lankans and South-East Asians are passionate about cricket. LG will endeavour to further build its brand image through sponsorships of cricketing events in the region.
