Singer opens outlet in Chankani

8th ESF at SLIM Home

Chairman/CEO of the Kingdom of Raigam, Dr. Ravi Liyanage will address the 8th ESF (Experience Sharing Forum) on "E.X.P.E.R.I.E.N.C.E. beyond the book", organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing (SLIM), to be held on July 29 at SLIM Home, Ananda Rajakaruna Mawatha, Colombo. Dr. Liyanage is also Director Puttalam Salt Ltd., Director State Trading, and a Board member of The Faculty of Management Studies and Commerce at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.

Michael Preiss to address seminar

The quarterly Sustainability Knowledge Hub (SKH) organised by Global Compact Network Ceylon will feature Michael Preiss, a Board Member for the Middle-East and Asia with the International Academy of Financial Management (IAFM) and Advisor on its Global Board of Standards on Wealth Management and Private Banking curriculum as the keynote speaker. Michael also serves as Economic Advisor to Ceylon Asset Management.

He will speak on 'Sustainability Indices and Global Trends' at the SKH on August 11 from 5.15 pm at the CIMA Auditorium, Colombo.

Seminar on simplified VAT

The National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka (NCE) has organised a seminar on the simplified (suspended) VAT scheme in association with the Shippers' Academy of Colombo. It will be held on August 2 at the Export Development Board auditorium. Speakers at the seminar will be Deputy Commissioner General, Department of Inland Revenue, Mallika Samarasekera and Deputy Commissioner - VAT Department, Deepani Herath.

SAARC CCI/ FCCISL seminar

The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC CCI) and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL) organised a seminar on -Regional Connectivity in South Asia and its Prospects for Cooperation in Transport and Communication. It will be held at the Galle Face Hotel on July 28.
