Sports transfer: Sandya Jayasuriya - a double Sri Lanka colours woman
in netball (1985-2002) and volleyball (1985) who was at Vijitha Central
College, Dickwella as a physical training instructress for 11 years, has
gone over to Presbyterian Girls School in Dehiwala.Sandya was a
versatile sportswoman and her presence should promote in a big way at
Presbyterian school in Dehiwela.
Sandya joined Vijitha Central in 1979 as a grade VI student and
excelled in sports, especially volleyball and netball. She was a member
of the Sri Lanka netball team from 1985 to 2002 and was captain in 1993
and 1994.
She joined Vijitha Central as a PTI in 2000 and was in charge of the
netball team and she was also athletic coach.
