Voter registration extended

The Elections Department has extended the deadline for the public to register themselves in the voters register to October 15, considering the large number of people who failed to register during the given period, PAFFERAL sources said. The previous deadline given by the Elections Department was August 31.

Those who failed to hand over applications on this occasion can register themselves with a special application through the Grama Niladari through registered post to the Elections Department, PAFFERAL sources said.
