Hill country contestants in the spotlights

The buzz was intense and the excitement was on a high in the Hill
Country last week when contestants for Mr & Ms Hill Country were being
selected in Kandy. The enthusiasm and interest shown by the youth in the
upcountry region was unbelievable for after all to them it was an
opportunity to fulfil their dreams. An interested spectator commented
that their attitude was so different from the youth in the city. After
going through tough interviews and the preliminaries that go with this
event fifteen boys and ten girls were selected to vie for Mr & Ms Hill
Country which will be worked off on the first Saturday in October in
Kandy.
Big Time Image Makers, the Presenters, wish to inform Contestants for
Mr & Ms Sri Lanka that they will have the opportunity to participate in
the 2011-2012 World Pageants, Miss Earth, Miss Tourism International,
Model of The World and Petite International.
Through the regional events, the doors are open to them for maximum
participation. It also provides opportunities for boys and girls not
based in Colombo to be a part of the big image.
From each regional event four to six contenders will be selected for
the all important national event. The Regional Event will see four to
five selected for the national event.
This system according to the Presenters, will be the stepping stone
to a contestant who may not be a national winner, but with a regional
title he or she can move up the ladder of success in the fashion world.
The international events will be a platform to foster the spirit of
goodwill and promote international understanding, not only among the
delegates but also throughout the world.
This wonderful pageant Mr & Ms Sri Lanka 2011 is presented by Big
Time Image Makers in association with the Sunday Observer - The print
media sponsor, Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation, Real Radio and the
official film is FUJI.
