CRICKET: Ruhuna cricketers who won the Inter-Provincial T20
cricket tournament will participate in the qualifying round of the
Champions League T20 Tournament in India.

Ruhunu cricketers who won the Inter-Provincial T20 Cricket
Tournament will play in the Champions League T20 tournament
in India.

Six teams will participate in the qualifying stage of the tournament
and three teams will go through to the main tournament. Sri Lanka will
play in group 'B' and will meet Trinidad and Tobago on September 19 and
Leicestershire County on September 21 at the Rajiv Ghandi Memorial
Stadium in Hyderabad. Both games will start at 1600 hrs local time.
In group 'A' will be Somerset County, Kolkata Knight Riders and
Auckland Aces.
The Ruhunu cricketers will leave for the tournament on September 16.
Those going for the tournament will be: Mahela Udawatte (Captain),
Dinesh Chandimal (Vice-Captain), Sanath Jayasuriya, Janaka Gunaratne,
Milinda Siriwardena, T.M. Sampath, Yasoda Lanka, Chinthaka Perera, Omesh
Wijesiriwardena, M.S. Kamileen, Arosh Janoda, Shalika Karunanayake,
Asanka Alankara Silva, Amal Athulathmudali and Bhanuka Rajapakse.
