Another skills - trained batch passes out from ILEAD Centre

The youth who received skills training in Information Technology, graphic designing, customer care and the German language at the Hikkaduwa ILEAD Centre received job placements in surrounding establishments recently.

Two hundred youth received their certificates from France Ambassador in Sri Lanka, Madam Christine Robiohon and MP Prof. Rajiva Wijesinha at a ceremony in Ambalangoda recently.

Most of them were school drop-outs and hail from marginalised section of the society. ILEAD Centre which has two skills training centres in Hikkaduwa, and Trincomalee will open another centre in Vavuniya shortly. For the last four years 2,500 youth have been trained and passed out in 12 batches.

ILEAD centres were setup by Aide et Action International, a French development organisation.
