Thirty member rugby pool for Asian Five-Nation Tournament

The Sri Lanka National Rugby Selectors have named a pool of 30
players in preparation for the HSBC Asian Five Nation Division One
Tournament which is scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippines from
April 14 to 22, 2012.
Sri Lanka, Singapore and Chinese Taipei will be participating at this
year's tournament and the winners will be promoted to the Asian Five
Nation top five. Chairman Selection Committee Chadrishan Perera informed
that the Selection Committee will watch the progress of these players
and may add new players to the pool based on the injuries and the
availability of the players.
The players who have been selected to the National Rugby Pool from
the following clubs CR&FC, Havelock SC, SL Navy, SL Army, SL Police and
SL Air Force are kindly requested to be present at the Havelocks Sports
Club on Wednesday January 26, 2012 at 5.00 pm to meet the Team Manager
and the Fitness Trainer and collect their training schedule. A date for
the fitness tests will be notified by the team Manager.
The players selected from Kandy SC and Upcountry Lions should be
present at the Kandy SC grounds, Nittawela on Friday, January 27, 2012
at 5.00 pm to meet the Team Manager and the Fitness Trainer and collect
their training schedule. A date for the fitness tests will be notified
by the Team Manager.
