Sangamitta House - champs for fourth time

SPROTS MEET: Sangamitta House with 364 points became champions for
the fourth successive year in the annual sports meet of Mahamaya Girls
College, Kandy held at the Bogambara Stadium, Kandy last Saturday.
In second place was Yasodara House with 309 points, Maya House was
third with 267 1/2 points and Prajapathi House came fourth with 173 1/2
points.
The Chief Guest for the occasion was Sarath Ekanayake - Chief
Minister of Central Province.

Winner of three events - Hasangi Tennekoon who won three
events – Shot Putt, Discus Throw and Throwing the Javelin
for girls under-19 receives one of the medals from Chief
Guest at the opening Ceremony Sarath Ekanayake – the chief
Minister of Central, Province at the awards ceremony. The
principal Indra Withanachchi is also in the picture.

guest at the awards ceremony of Mahamaya Sports Meet present
one of the trophies to Akshana Maralande of Maya House.
Akshana won both the 100 and 200 metres events for girls
