The Marvellous Birth of The Buddha

Veronica Damayanthi Jayakody's latest book on Buddhism The Marvellous Birth of The Buddha will be launched at Dayawansa Jayakody Bookshop, Colombo 10 on May 2 at 10 a.m. She is the author of several other books such as Gauthama Buddha Charithaya and Ape Budu Hamuduruvo.

It is a Dayawansa Jayakody publication.

A drama festival with a difference; 'Colourful Expressions' is all about bringing the talents of thedifferently-abled youth in society, to the forefront.

The Sunera Foundation will present 'Colourful Expressions', a drama festival featuring the theatrical pieces put together by its differently-abled workshop participants.Those attending the workshops in Thalawa, Anuradhapura, Kekirawa and Rajanganaya will perform at the Co-operative Hall in Anuradhapura on May 3 at 3 p.m. Participants attached to the Negombo and Horagolla workshops will perform at the Rukmani Devi Memorial Hall in Negombo on May 11 at 3 p.m.

Those attached to workshops in Kurunegala, Nikaweratiya, Kobeigane and Horombawa will perform at the Kurunegala Town Hall on May 18 at 2 p.m. Those who attend the workshop in Badulla, Welimada and Bandarawela will perform at the Badulla Town Hall on May 25 at 5 p.m.

Entrance to all the performances is free.
