Man offering leopard skin nabbed

A man was caught at the Chilaw Munneswaram Kovil when he brought a leopard skin as an offering to god. A group of Wildlife Officials undergoing a routine training at the Wildlife Training Centre in Giritale who were visiting the Kovil were able to catch the suspect red-handed.

The suspect was produced in Court. The well-preserved leopard (Panthera pardus) skin is eight feet and four inches long. The suspect is a resident of Nainamadama
