Son of a gun!
The Big Love-Slave, as the First Citizen at one time, had bragged
that Rs. 2,500 was credited to each beneficiary family of the People's-Saviya.
But it came to light last week that his government had not credited a
red cent towards it. "His son's promises too would be no better," a
Green Em Pee from Colombo district said.
Vendor gets rid of Hurr-Sha
Hurr-Shah, the self-appointed economic guru with only two A/L passes,
was in for a rude shock when he visited the Nugegoda fair with his
leader. In a desperate bid to woo the support of the masses, Hurr-Shah
came up with cooked up economic theories. But Magilin Nona, a vegetable
vendor, was smart enough to realise that there was no logic in his
statements and chased Hurr-Shah saying Oya, oyage wedak balagena yanawa,
ooi.
Isolated Fonny turns red
Fonny looked furious on his return home after the Hyde Park rally,
even lambasting his better half. When Ka-Roo the Victory-Suriya made a
self-confession on his eleventh hour withdrawal, Fonny warned Ka-Roo not
to trot out lame excuses. He also took to task the Bhikkhu Front which
organised the rally for making him a joker again. He had even refused to
answer Captain Cool and Kind-Siri's subsequent telephone calls.
Ka-Roo puts fellow MPs in a soup
Ra-Blue was a in a belligerent mood after playing all his political
strokes correctly. His ploy of taming the Reformists through the Woc
Com, which banned the participation at Fonny's rally, brought fruitful
results. Poor Saa-jeet, the Love-Slave got cold feet and was the first
to skip the meeting. Ka-Roo initially threatened to attend the rally but
went from hero to zero after his eleventh-hour pullout. However, three
Green Em Pees, who had been misled by Ka-Roo, will now have to face the
consequences. |
