Miss Earth Olguita in Sri Lanka for Sunday Observer beauty pageant

Miss
Earth 2011, Miss Ecuador Olguita Alava is now in Sri Lanka as the chief
guest for the most prestigious beauty pageant Miss Sri Lanka for Miss
Earth 2013 which will be held today at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo.
The Sunday Observer is the official print media partner of the Miss
Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2013 beauty pageant.
Olguita Mercedes Álava Vargas is an Ecuadorian model from Guayaquil
and also a social and lifestyle entrepreneur, environmentalist and an
international beauty pageant title holder.
Her foray into beauty pageants is no accident. As she said, in
October 2008, she competed and won in the Reina de Guayaquil pageant and
took part in various social activities. She participated in the Charity
Catwalk along with other beauty queens that raised $4,000 for families
with AIDS to benefit the Fundación Nuestra Belleza. Modelling has also
been part of her life since joining the Agencia Chantal Fontaine.
She competed in Ecuador’s Super Model of the World competition in
2006 and won second place.
“I’m happy to be here in Sri Lanka as the chief guest of the event
Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Earth 2013.
This is the second time that Sri Lanka is participating in this
international event and it is a great privilege to be here and be a
source of strength for the winner who will participate in the
forthcoming Miss Earth 2013 International Pageant,” Olguita said. |
