Josephians stun Trinity
St. Joseph's College, Colombo beat Trinity College, Kandy by 18
points (three tries, one penalty) to 17 (two goals, one penalty) in
their Singer League Under-20 rugby match played at Longden Place
yesterday.
This was Trinity's first defeat in the Singer 'A' Division League and
the second win for the Josephians. The Joes last beat Trinity in 2009 in
Pallekele.
It was a morale boosting win for the lads from Darley Road who
suffered two successive defeats in their last two matches against
Isipathana 21-30 and Royal 7-14.
Wesley triumph
Wesley College, Colombo beat Science College by 25 points (one goal,
three tries, one penalty) in 14 (two goals) in their Singer League
Under-20 match played at Mount Lavinia yesterday. |
