Sangamitta House champs

Sangamitta House with 334 points came on top of the annual
inter-house swimming meet of Mahamaya Girls College, Kandy held at the
swimming pool of the school on May 2.
In second position was Prajapathie House with 264 points, while Maya
House with 190 points came in third, Yasodara House was fourth with 171
points.
Dr. S. Jinadasa - Senior Lecturer, Engineering Faculty of the
University of Peradeniya was the chief guest, while guest of honour was
Chintha Ruwanpathirana - former teacher-in-charge of swimming at
Mahamaya.
The champion swimmer in each age group:
Under 11 (joint champions): Lilmini Costa (Maya House),
Nethmini Thilakaratne (Yasodara House), Sahansa Devapriya (Prajapathie
House).
Under 13 champion: Uttama de Silva (Prajapathie House),
runner-up: Devindya Jayawardena (Sangamitta House).
Under 15 champion: Vinoli Siriwardena (Sangamitta House),
runner-up: Nisari Dissanayake (Yasodara House).
Over 15 champion: Sunethra Wijeratne (Sangamitta House),
runner-up: Ayeshika Jayawardenna (Yasodara House).
