Economic development and eco tourism

Business and Professional Women (BPW) Sri Lanka has organised a conference on Economic Development and Eco Tourism to celebrate its 20 years' dedicated service to women and children at the Kingsbury Colombo from August 10-12.

The chief guest yesterday was Economic Development Minister Basil Rajapaksa. Books will be presented to children and Ambassadors of Change will be appointed.

Business and Professional Women Sri Lanka (BPWSL) is a non profit organisation, affiliated to BPW International. It strives to improve the status of women nationally and internationally and has been working towards the sustainable development and empowerment of women for the past 20 years in Sri Lanka. Economic development is the key to improving the status of the less privileged in our society, said BPW Sri Lanka founder and president Mrs. Janaki Gunawardena. President BPW International Ms. Freda Miriklis will award the certificates to the Ambassadors of change.
