Chevron Lubricants Lanka PLC recently partnered with the Ceylon
German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) for the 12th consecutive
year to conduct its informative technical course on 'Lubrication
essentials and future trends in the automotive industry' for over 150
final year automotive students registered for CGTTI's main diploma
program.
As one of the leaders in the local finished lubricant business,
Chevron has developed a relationship with CGTTI over the years to gear
future automobile engineers with the essential industry knowledge and
training on automotive and industrial lubricant technology, and the
latest industry trends.
Chevron formed an alliance with CGTTI in February 2001, introducing a
number of training programs for CGTTI students aspiring to be hands-on
professionals in the automotive sector.
The technical courses conducted by senior Caltex lubricant technology
experts provide CGTTI final year students a more practical and
insightful understanding of the lubricant industry dynamics, locally and
globally.
"As a socially responsible organisation, Caltex is aware of its
responsibility towards society. The organisation believes that 'the
students of today are the future leaders of tomorrow' and hence need to
be groomed and moulded to take up the challenges in the automotive
industry," a company spokesman said.
"The company is involved in technical seminars, presentations and
education campaigns for various industry stakeholders including channel
partners, direct and indirect customers and technical students," he
said.
