CEAT wins National Quality Award

Tyre manufacturer, CEAT Kelani Holdings won the 2013 National Quality
Award in the 'Manufacturing - Large' category presented by the Sri Lanka
Standards Institution (SLSI).
The award ceremony was held on Monday at the BMICH. Managing Director
of CEAT, Kelani Raman Rajagopalan accepted the award.
"This award reinforces CEAT Kelani's approach and commitment to
quality, robust management systems and processes, enabling consistent
performance," said Rajagopalan.
The award, which recognises quality excellence based on the world
renowned Malcolm Baldrige model, was judged by panel of industry experts
and business leaders against an in-depth scoring criteria covering seven
areas such as 'Leadership,' 'Strategic Planning,' 'Customer Focus,'
'Measurement, Analysis and Knowledge Management,' 'Workforce
Engagement,' 'Operational Focus' and 'Results'.
Rajagopalan said, "This is truly a fitting acknowledgement of the
giant strides CEAT Kelani has taken over the past few years."
