CCC joins WorkInSriLanka in brain gain efforts
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) recently signed a MoU with
WorkInSriLanka, a brain gain initiative launched in May this year, to
promote the country as an attractive destination for professionals and
businesses, primarily through the WorkInSriLanka web portal (workinsrilanka.lk)
to improve educated human capital sustainability in the country.

"Apart from driving this primary initiative, this partnership will
enable both parties to open avenues to professionals living abroad and
looking to relocate to Sri Lanka," a Chamber spokesman said.
The Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Harin
Malwatte said, "The rate of human capital increase is important to a
country's rate of economic development as they are the key determinants
of a country's ability to produce and adopt technological innovations.
"Skilled human capital is needed to reshape Sri Lanka's growth
engine.
The prevailing economic environment and security situation will be a
favourable factor for Sri Lanka to be one of the preferred destinations
for high value industries," he said.
"The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce looks forward to work with
WorkInSriLanka and assist key industries in the private sector by
providing a platform for networking and increasing connectivity,"
