BoC launches Personal Loans
The Bank of Ceylon (BoC) launched Personal Loans to help people meet
their financial needs. Financial assistance is provided to go on tours
or pilgrimages under this scheme. Loans are also provided to renovate
houses or buy land as an investment.
The bank offers this privilege to Sri Lankan citizens between the
ages of 18 to 55 years who are either permanently employed in a
government statutory body or a listed private sector company with a
salary above Rs. 30,000 or employed on contract basis with a salary
above Rs.50,000.
This facility is provided at a reasonable service charge and at low
interest rates with a maximum repayment period of five years.
The Bank also provides the option of flexible repayment to suit a
person's lifestyle.
This loan could be obtained from any of the BoC branches spread
around the country.
As this loan scheme involves less paper work, customers could enjoy
benefits of this facility without delay by providing only the most
essential documents.
