Teacher rest rooms for Wayamba schools

Teacher rest rooms will be constructed in 31 government schools in the Wayamba province on a concept by Chief Minister Dayasiri Jayasekera.

The construction will begin within the next three months. A sum of Rs. 4.6 million would be allocated for each such project from the chief minister's monetary provision.

The completion work of the first project was launched at the Narammala, Mayurapada central college under the patronage of the chief minister. The proposed rest rooms will be equalised with the basic facilities so that the teachers could perform their duties more efficiently, Chief Minister Jayasekera said.
