Abans, Philips mark World Heart Day

The finals of 'Cook for your Heart' cookery competition, organised by Abans and Philips, was held at Abans Kollupitiya Elite Showroom recently to mark World Heart Day.

The public were invited to send in their healthiest recipes, and those who submitted the 10 best recipes were selected for the grand finale.

Abans chefs demonstrated the preparation of grilled fish, a healthy dish using the innovative Philips Air Fryer. The Philips Air Fryer uses state-of-the-art advanced rapid air technology for various cooking purposes without using oil. The Philips Air Fryer is a unique appliance that cooks substituting air for oil.

This patented rapid air technology lets the hot air flow evenly within the appliance to cook food with less fat within minutes. It also ensures a faultless texture and taste and preserves the nutrition and flavour of the food. It has been endorsed by the Independent Medical Practitioners Association of Sri Lanka as a cooking appliance which is beneficial to health, a company spokesman said.
