CCC facilitates business partnership
The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) recently facilitated a
partnership between Naraa Jewellery Mart and Norway's Vivo Holdings AS,
a firm dealing in books, gifts and handmade articles.
The two firms signed an MoU, to enter into a joint venture agreement
in the future to help expand the business scope of each other.
Under the new partnership, the Norwegian firm will help Naraa, which
is involved in manufacturing and marketing of precious metal and fashion
jewellery in the local market to lift their product quality to match the
Scandinavian market. The Norwegian firm will also help the local firm in
organising and making promotional and marketing material, study
Scandinavian market trends and formulate a mechanism in branding the
product range in the region.
The MoU was signed recently between Ushantha Ekanayaka and Bjorn
Bondevik, on behalf of the Sri Lankan and Norwegian firms.
The Ceylon Chamber facilitated this under the NORAD project, which is
working on setting up sustainable and profitable joint ventures between
the Norwegian and Sri Lankan companies. |
