Boards to solve problems in Postal Ministry

At a time when modern technology has invaded the telecommunication sector, modern technology will be become an unavoidable force in the Postal sector.When continuing our service we will to face many challenges, Muslim Religious Affairs and Posts Minister M.H.A.M. Haleem said.

While addressing the media after assuming duties, Minister Haleem said that the Muslim Affairs Ministry also has a huge responsibility. We have problems and steps have to be taken to solve them.

"I hope to set up various Boards to solve the problems in the Ministry. A special suitable program will be implemented in all sections in the Ministry and the Postal Department", Minister Haleem said.

The Minister said that he will work for the unity of diverse communities in the country." We also plan to set up a committee in this regard and to work obtaining the views and ideas of this committee.

He said that after looking into the needs of this Ministry steps will be taken to solve them in the immediate future.

"I express my gratitude to the people in the Harispattuwa Polling Division and the Kandy district for electing me to serve the nation", he said.

I served as the secretary of the late Minister A.C.S. Hameed with his recommendation I was elected to the Central Provincial council and served the people in the Kandy district for nearly 10 years.

"I will extend my fullest cooperation to implement the 100- day program of the Government", Minister Haleem said.
