President Obama chief guest at India's Republic Day parade

US President Barack Obama accepted Indian PM Narendra Modi's invite
and the White House has confirmed that he will be chief guest at India's
66th Republic Day parade tomorrow, January 26, in New Delhi.
All arrangements are in place to to celebrate the Republic Day with
pomp and pageantry.
A tight security cordon, on an unprecedented scale, will be deployed
on account of the US President's participation in the celebrations as
Chief Guest. Flights embargo has been declared in and
around the area where the military parade is to take place. Also a
special radar facility has been installed to monitor air movements.
Similar arrangements will be in place during the US President's
scheduled visit to the Taj Mahal in Agra, with his family, on January
27. Security has been strengthened in the hotel where Barrack Obama will
stay and its surroundings. |
