JVP supports 100-day Program - Vijitha Herath
by Naalir Jamaldeen
The time is ripe to create unity among the communities in Sri Lanka
when the people in the North and East have reposed confidence in
democracy and cast their votes at the recent presidential election than
ever before, JVP said.
Those who were defeated in the election are trying to create racism
in the country.
No room should be left for wrongdoers to kindle the flames of racism
in the country again.
There is no truth in the allegation that Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC)
is calling for a separate unit in the Eastern province. If so why did
theformer Minister Basil Rajapaksa held several rounds of talks with the
SLMC, he said.
Total changes should be made in the administrative structure and this
is the stance of JVP, he said.
He said that the JVP will take legal action against those involved in
corruption.
All needs of people can not be fulfilled during the 100-days program
of the Government led by President Maithripala Sirisena.
The JVP is not a part of the Government. But we are helping in the
100- day program, he said. |
