The Young Members' Forum (YMF) of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC) recently organised a visit to the Colombo Port. Nearly 40 members took part.

Officials of the Colombo Port, South Asia Gateway Terminal, Colombo International Container Terminal and Jaya Container Terminal explained the operations of Sri Lanka's main commercial port and its future development. Some members that this was their first visit to the Colombo Port or for that matter any other international port.

"This is a part of the YMF's plan to help young men and women gain an in-depth understanding of the key economic installations of the country," said President of the YMF, Mrs. Gillian Nugara.

"We will continue to organise similar events in the future, which will help enhance the knowledge of young members," she said.

The tour was organised by the YMF Innovation Subcommittee and was headed by Mrs. Manori Dissanayake.
