Ramada Colombo refurbishes lobby

Ramada Colombo's refurbished lobby is now open. This represents the completion of another phase of this 4-star hotels product overhaul with an investment of Rs. 900 million.

As with the renovated rooms launched earlier, the concept and design of the lobby epitomises luxury and will excite the new age traveller. With these changes, Ramada Colombo is readyr to leverage the strength of being a member of the Wyndham Hotel Group, one of the world's largest and most diverse hotel chains with over 7,500 hotels worldwide.

The new lobby has a wall of glass that opens out to the main road and offers a view of the Galle Face Green. Creating a dramatic effect is the lobby's heightened ceiling for an enlivening sense of space.

Chairman of the company Fahmy Cader said, "We open out to a stretch of the city that has been beautified - our new lobby is designed to make you appreciate the very best of our location".

In keeping with Ramada Colombo's vision of luxury services, the new lobby includes a state-of-the-art Business Centre offering not only superior technology solutions, but a private meeting room as well.

Cader said, "As a 4-star hotel in close proximity to the central business district of the city, these facilities are a crucial".

Stemming from the lobby, is also be the new patisserie 'Baked' with its expertly thought out and trendy dining experience. Taking on from the latest global inspirations and expanding beyond the realm of a patisserie, the new outlet focuses on freshly prepared, quality food with newer cuisine concepts.

The dining experience brings great tasting, fresh food with super appealing choice, all served up at speed to create a perfect fit for evolving lifestyle preferences.

"Having the largest square foot area per room of any city hotel, has allowed for the crafting of interiors with a distinct layout," Cade said.

The rooms feature superior levels of comfort with a separate seating area, a 42 inch LED TV screen and an ergonomically designed work desk and chair.
