
Gender sensitive film festival for Women’s Day
“Men and women engaging in Gender Dialogue through film” will be held
at the Kynsey Terrace, Colombo 8 on March 10 at 3.30 p.m. It is curated
by Anomaa Rajakaruna.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Embassy of France,
in partnership with the EU Delegation, the International Centre for
Ethnic Studies, Agenda 14 and the Alliance Française de Kotte in
Colombo, have organised the event.

Retrospect at National Art Gallery

Retrospect, a photographic exhibition depicting a collection of
photographs by Sanka Vidanagama will be held at the National Art
Gallery, Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha, Colombo 7 from March 14 to 15 from
9 am to 6 pm.
‘Retrospect’ will showcase his collection of photographs on four sub
themes; general photojournalism, naked truth, sports as a flashback on
his professional life.
Lankan photographer’s maiden exhibition in Australia

Sandun Gamage, a well-known photographer from Sri Lanka will hold his
maiden exhibition in Australia on March 28 at the Coburg Hall in
Melbourne.
The exhibition is organised to coincide with the World Cup Final 2015
which is taking place in Australia. The photographs of a few local
cricketers and their families will be on view.
In addition to photographs of cricketers there will be more than 100
outstanding photographs of brides, ancient places and the pageant of the
Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic will be a part of the exhibition.
The exhibition is organised by ‘AUSCA’, an association initiated with
the aim of bringing in the Victoria's Sri Lankan community together. The
exhibition will be a milestone of Gamage's photographic and journalism
career and it will showcase carefully selected photographs. For more

Kapuva Kapothi
Prof. Ediriweera Sarachchandra's Kapuva Kapothi will be staged at the
Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7 on March 15 at 3.30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
It is the Sinhala adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's comedy The Marriage.
The cast includes Wijaya Nandasiri, Deepani Silva, Sarath Kulathunge,
Lalith Rajapakshe, Wasantha Vittachchi, Ariyarathne Kaluarachchi, Kumudu
Prashanthi and Kumari Manike.
Gutikaemata Niyamithai
Thilak Nandana Hettiarachchi's Gutikaemata Niyamithai will be staged
at the Lionel Wendt Theatre, Colombo 7 on March 13 at 3.30 p.m. and 7
p.m.
The cast includes W. Jayasiri, Sarath Kothalawala and Dharmapriya
Dias.
Seetha Arunella CD launch
Award – winning singer Hasantha Elgiriya's CD Seetha Arunella will be
launched at the public Library auditorium Colombo 7 on March 14 at 4.30
p.m.
The keynote address will be delivered by Praneeth Abhayasundara,
Seelaratne Senarath will compere the launching ceremony.
Arangetram of four dancers

The Bharatha Natyam Arangetram of four students Kalai Chelvi, Naatya
Kalaamani Nirmala Johh took place recently at the New Kathiresan Hall,
Colombo 4. Here the students Manasa Manivannan, Prashangi Chandrasegaram,
