Sampath Bank conducted an internal CSR competition among the bank's
main branches islandwide, primarily to motivate staff to find new ways
of giving something back to society. Winners of this competition were
felicitated at an internal awards ceremony and the bank further
demonstrated their commitment to CSR by certifying this event as one of
the first carbon neutral events to take place in Sri Lanka's banking
history.
Managing Director, Sampath Bank, Aravinda Perera said, "Sampath Bank
has over the years provided the best in products and services that cater
to all aspects of society's essential needs.
While product innovation and customer satisfaction is essentially the
core of our organisation's day-to-day operations, CSR has always been a
big part of everything we do."
"As we have grown in expertise and resources, we have made it our
duty to sustainably give back to society through the best possible
means.
This internal CSR competition and the awards ceremony was an idea
that centered on engaging our entire Sampath Bank team to come up with
the best CSR proposal," he said.
"In doing so, we gave them an opportunity to showcase their creative
talent while also giving back to society," Perera said. |
