PERFORMING ELEPHANTS: As the crowds of
local and foreign tourists watched and cameras clicked,
Tourism and Sports Minister Navin Dissanayake could not
resist trying his hand at feeding milk to a baby elephant at
the world famous Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage which the
Minister visited recently.
Events: “British High
Commissioner John Rankin delivered a public lecture on “Sri
Lanka - The Way Ahead” at the Organisation of Professional
Associations recently, organised by the British Scholars
Association of Sri Lanka. Here the High Commissioner
