Matharage appointed GM,Binota Hotel

Lal Matharage who began his hotel career in 1982 as a steward at Akasa Kade, reached the zenith of his career when he was appointed Director-General Manager, Binota Hotel, Nuwara Eliya.

At the beginning of his hotel career his ambition was to become a General Manager one day. At first it was only 'wishful thinking', but hard work and honesty helped him climb the ladder of success.

From Akasa-Kade, Lal joined Taj Samudra as a captain. After a short stint, he joined Hotel Topaz, Kandy. His stars began to shine when he joined Red Sea Palace, Dubai as a Restaurant Manager. On his return to Sri Lanka, Matharage joined Club Palm Bay, Marawila as a Restaurant Manager later he held the post of General Manager, Indra Regent Hotel, Colombo, from where he joined Binota Hotel, Nuwara Eliya, as Manager.
