Royal's first Bradby winning captain no more

Royal College's first Bradby Shield winning captain Ashroff Ashey
Cader passed away in Australia at the age of 85. Cader was a top class
front row forward and played in 1947 under N.W. Karunaratne the year
Royal lost the Bradby in the first leg.
In 1948 under the captaincy of Cader. Royal won the Bradby for the
first time at Police Park, Bambalapitiya.
The first Bradby winning Royal team was made up of T. S. Anghie,
D.A.Vantwest, A. Anghie, A. Goonawardene, L. Panditharathne, D.R.Perera,
S.D.N Hapugalle, B. Sivaratnam, T. Armugam, A.E. Batholomuesz, D.E.
Fonseka,G.T. Primpanayagam, D.Samarasinghe, G.C. Weinman and Ashley
Cader.
Cader later led CR and FC in 1958 and 1959 and won the Clifford Cup
in both years.
He coached S.Thomas' College when they first played the game.
