Maris Stella College Negombo won the Super 16 Cup by beating Royal
College in the final of the 11th edition of the Zahira Soccer Sevens
last week at the Zahira College ground at Maradana. The match was
decided on a penalty shoot-out after the contest ended in a stalemate
with no scoring done.
Anura de Silva the president of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka
graced the opening ceremony as the chief guest along with and sponsor
Pyramid Wilmar Director Hashim Omar, Zahira College principal Trizviiy
Marikar and Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed.
