Allianz Lanka launched Sisudiriya to provide financial assistance to
the children of Allianz Life Insurance policyholders who excel at the
Grade Five scholarship examination.
Sisudiriya forges a long-term commitment with a payment made monthly
to educate the scholarship-holder throughout secondary education, from
Grade 5 up to completion of the first attempt at the GCE Advanced Level
examination.
The scholarship program was launched to commemorate 125 years of
service of the parent company, Allianz SE, a world-renowned financial
service provider, celebrated last year. Oshanee Hashinika Gayashani of
Sri Dhammananda Maha Vidyalaya, who achieved the highest rank in the
Kurunegala district and the second highest marks in the island, was
awarded the first-ever Sisudiriya scholarship from among many applicants
across the country.
"Sisudiriya is a relationship beyond insurance, in which Allianz
Lanka commits to support and further the nation's talent," said Allianz
Lanka CEO Surekha Alles. "We are pleased to help educate our bright
young people. They are the future of this country." |
