Palestine Friendship Society honours Dr. Nabeel Shaath

The Palestine Friendship Society honoured Dr. Nabeel Shaath, the most senior politician in the Middle East, for the services rendered to the Palestinians at the Grand Park Hotel, Ramalah, Palestine recently. Fawzan Anver, Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Palestine presented the 'Lanka Pranama' award to Dr. Nabeel.

Dr. Nabeel A Shaath, is a member of the Palestine Legislative Council and Commissioner of International Relations of Fatah and Member of Central Committee of Fatah.

He represented the Palestine Liberation Organization in the NAM summit in Lusaka -Zambia Conference 1970, and met former Sri Lankan Prime Minister, the late Sirimavo Bandaranaike. In 1971, he attended the Afro - Asia Solidarity Movement Conference in Cairo with Sirimavo Bandaranaike.
