Havies book second slot beating CR

Havelocks beat CR and FC by 26 points (three goals, one try) to 21 (one goal, one try, three penalties) in their Dialog inter club League rugby match played at Havelock Park yesterday ensuring that they finish second in the championship standings after Kandy secure the title.

At half time, Havelocks led 14-6.

Both teams had their share of misfortune due to the slippery conditions but still maintained a steady pace.

Janitha Jayasuriya, Dhanushka Ranjan and Rahul de Silva scored for the Havelocks while Rimzi Jamaldeen made the conversions.

For CR Tharinda Ratwatte and Kanchana Ramanayake scored tries.
