Over 300 children from every district in Sri Lanka, each accompanied by a parent or guardian, embarked on an educational tour of places of interest in Colombo recently courtesy of Ceylinco Life.

The third edition of the tourcomprised guided tours of the Diyatha Uyana Water Park at Battaramulla, the Colombo Harbour, the BMICH, Rupavahini Corporation and the Nelum Pokuna Theatre. The children were aged 4-12 years. Meals and refreshments were provided by Ceylinco Life. One of several annual events through which Ceylinco Life engages directly with policyholders, their families and prospective customers across the country, the tour is linked to the annual distribution of timetables by the company for the new academic year. Ceylinco Life distributed 500,000 timetables at the beginning of this year.

Each timetable has a coupon where a recipient can secure a place in the educational tour of Colombo. Filling in the coupon provides an opportunity for thousands of children to compete for seats on this tour of the landmarks of Colombo. The draw of winners is designed to ensure that all Ceylinco Life's 250 branches is represented by a child. Children travelling from distant areas are provided transport to and from Colombo by Ceylinco Life and overnight accommodation provided.

Ceylinco Life has nearly a million people covered by active policies.
