Sri Lanka has new heroes emerging from the
ongoing three-Test series against Australia and yesterday it was the
turn of Dhananjaya de Silva, one of the lesser known cricketers
because he surfaced from a quartet of schools like Lalith
Athulathmudali Vidyalaya, Ratmalana, Debarawewa MV Hambantota,
Mahanama College and eventually Richmond College Galle.
Sri Lanka’s new kid on the block Dhananjaya de
Silva said the batting with vice-captain Dinesh Chandimal helped him
to reach his maiden Test hundred on the opening day of the third and
final Test against Australia at the SSCgrounds yesterday.
