E-Channelling to expand network

E-Channelling Limited, an e-commerce project which facilitates booking appointments with doctors on-line, plans to connect a total hospitals to the network in the future. Currently the project connects Nawaloka, Durdans, Asiri and Oasis hospitals in Colombo.

E-Channelling facilities booking of appointments with doctors at hospitals in Colombo either through the Internet or by visiting any of Samptah Bank's branches island-wide. This easy to use, web-based service seeks to help people by eliminating the time wasted by standing in queues parking and making trips to the hospital.

E-Channelling is a Rs. 70 million joint venture between Millennium Information Technologies and Ayojana Fund (Pvt) Ltd.

Suntel is the communications provider for the project. Suntel has connected all the above mentioned hospitals with e-Channelling server on dedicated connections. The solution has built-in redundancy with automatic ISDN dial backup. Suntel wOw is the Internet Service Provider for this project, enabling the customer to channel the doctors through the Internet. Suntel is also e-Channelling's official Internet Service Provider, offering Internet connectivity and related services.
