Suspected LTTErs seize boats

A group of armed young men with T-56 assault rifles had approached a fisheries village in Kokilai, near Pulmoddai and had threatened the fishermen and seized two boats. The Pulmoddai police are conducting investigations.

This incident took place on April 18 and, according to the complaint made by the fishermen, about 8 armed young men had come to rob the boats. The fishermen have told the police that those robbers were members of the LTTE.
