Mobil Auto Color ahead on ratings by S. M. JIFFREY ABDEEN, Kandy sports correspondent Team Mobil Auto Color and Caltex Racing Team tied in the number of wins at the Fox Hill Supercross organised by the Sri Lanka Military Academy and the Sri Lanka Association of Racing Drivers and Riders and held at Diyatalawa last Friday. Team Mobil Auto Color had three wins through team leader Rohan de Silva, his daughter Miss Shehera de Silva and Nihal Weerasinghe. The Caltex Team had their three wins through Rizvi Farouk, Nalin Dilpriya Perera and Prasanna Ranasinghe. Team UMLL had two wins through dinesh Deheragoda in addition to being crowned Super Fox for cars which was a bonus. Team BP Castrol had a solitary win through Rameez Mahamoor. Overall, Mobil Auto Color team is ahead on ratings having won ten events (five motor bikes and five cars) at Kotmale against three by Team Caltex (three car events) in addition to getting the fastest of the day. At Mahagastota, Team Mobil Auto Color won six events (2 mobikes, 4 cars) against five by Caltex (all motor car events). Team Mobil also held the bonus of fastest timing of the day. At the Radella Hill Climb, Team Mobil Auto Color once again dominated the proceedings by six events (2 mobikes, 4 cars) again two wins in the cars event by Team Caltex. Here again Team Mobile had the bonus of recording the fastest timing of the day, through Romani de Silva. Thus Team Mobil appear to hold sway during the racing up in the hills this season. |
