Talduwa Rally Cross on May 12

The annual Talduwa Rally Cross will be held on the 12th May 2002 and practice on the 11th May 2002. This event is organised by the Headquarters Logistics Command in association with Sri Lanka Army Motor Sports Committee (SLAMSC) and Motor Racing Association, Kelani Valley Club too is associated in helping out in this event.

The track which is of a distance of approx 1.4 km will be on 3 kinds of terrain, grass, gravel and tarred surface.

The rally cross is open for motor cars (2 wheel and 4 wheel drive) and motor cycles.

The organisers say approx 25 events will be conducted with the start at 8.00 a.m. on the 12th. Three new classes for cars will be introduced and called the "One make series". They will be for Mini 1000, Ford Laser and the Nissan March 1300.

Entry forms are available at the Pro Kart Centre, Millennium Park, Darley Road, Colombo. Entries close on the 30th April 2002.
