Internet, e-business solutions by JAYAMPATHY JAYASINGHE Eureka Online (Pvt) Ltd., the Internet solutions provider, has tied up with MCI WorldCom, the global IT network, to provide corporate customers in Sri Lanka with Internet and other e-business solutions. A partnership agreement was signed in Colombo recently between Eureka Online and MCI WorldCom. Ms. Cassidy MG, a representative for MCI Worldcom said corporate customers in Sri Lanka would now have several choices in terms of IT solutions. MCI Worldcom is a merger of two giant US companies which provides global telecommunication solutions, she said. Eureka Online's Chief Executive Officer Dilendra Wimalasekera said Sri Lankan companies with overseas offices would be able to network and locate their websites through Eureka Online. Eureka Online will be in a position to handle the IT solutions of its customers, he said. MCI Worldcom is present in 65 countries and is known globally as a provider of e-business solutions. Worldcom's operation centres are located in United States, the Netherlands and Hong Kong which provides 24-hour customer and support services in network management. Eureka Online, launched in 1996, has helped many local corporate clients to upgrade and develop Internet and e-business solutions for efficient business transactions. According to Eureka Online's profile, the company presently enjoys around 35 per cent of the market share in Sri Lanka. |
