Flight information via SMS Dialog GSM, in partnership with SriLankan Airlines, now offers flight information on its Short Message Service (SMS). All Dialog GSM customers may now obtain the national carrier's flight schedules according to flight number or according to departure and destination cities, by means of simple codes. To further enhance the value addition to the customer, the service also provides for 'flight alerts' according to the customer's request, one, two or three hours before departure. "We are proud to partner with SriLankan Airlines in delivering a service which is a first in the entire South Asian region. We are committed to placing Sri Lanka on the world map of advanced mobile communications and together with SriLankan Airlines, we have been successful in bringing to the market a key service for the global traveller. The flight information service will be available throughout our international roaming network which covers over 100 countries and enables Dialog GSM customers to check flight schedules irrespective of where they are across the globe," Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Chief Executive and Director, MTN Networks (Pvt.)
