'September'
 by EWF his hit song

DJ Jeremy

Black Out (After Dark) at the Swiss Residence in Kandy town is DJ Jeremy's fav groove club in the weekends. A product of St. Peter's College, his pet subject was Econ. Jeremy played drums and trumpet in the Western Band at school and is still mad about music. A mobile DJ he had a stint at the Little Hut with Entertainment Unlimited, and secretly nurses a wish that he could be a six footer!!

Name: D. J. Jeremy (Jeremy Manuelpillai)
Birthday: August 3. Celebrated it on the 9th with my DJ and school friends.
Fav colour: Blue
Trendy outfits: No! I go for something comfortable. Extra large pants and short sleeved shirts.
Hair do's: Well, short like the vogue now. I don't like tints.
Fav music: R + B - Like Greg David, R. Kelly, 2 Pac and alternative rock like Creed Nirvana.

Fav song of 80's and 90's: Song of 80's is September by Earth Wind and Fire and the 90's, Everyday People by Arrested Development.

Any embarrassing day: I'd rather not talk about it. It is too embarrassing to mention. What are the qualities you like in a girl: She should be cool, and have lots of love to give - the rest will fall into place. Oh! she should not be too choosy about clothes and bear with me all the way.

When you DJ at the 'Black Out' how do you tackle girls who make advances to you: They do make advances but I don't reject or avoid them. I talk them out of it.

Are you a crazy party guy: I am a big party guy. I love partying. Went into it no sooner I left school. Are you the first to hit the dance floor: No! I'm the last. At first I check out the crowd and if I see a nice girl straight off I'll go to her.

Do you believe in black cats and superstitions: No way! For me religion is more important. There is no room for superstition.

What's your idea of fun: Going out with my school friends, seing a film and having a good meal of Indian food and reviving all the fun and laughter during our school days.

Any pet hates: Girls who are proud and have a major attitude problem.

If your sister dates one of your friends, how would you react: If I trust him, I'll trust him with my sister. He should be a cool guy.

What do you think life would be like in 3000: Will there be a world in 3000! What with all the destruction around, 3000 would be like a science fiction movie.

How many rude thoughts cross your mind in a day: None at all! I will be rude to those who are rude to me. When you are not DJing and not partying do you keep awake till late at night: I'm a movie freak. I watch movies till 2 am. I can never go to sleep before 12, except when I'm ill.

Where would you like to be most now: Where DJing is concerned I'd like to be in the States - there they respect DJ's. DJing is not an easy job - it is a skilled art.

What other profession would you like to be in: Be a doctor like my father. Fav food: Fast food. Pizza's and chicken.

What's your top tip to be a good DJ: Don't be just a DJ. Be good at what you do and know how to enjoy yourself in order to entertain others.

Who or what makes you happy in life: Music and my mum. She is always there for me when I need support. My father, he is in Dubai and quite naturally I don't see him often.
