Monday night chill out

Primal

Chill out to the guitar sounds of Shafi of Wildfire and Primal Liyanage of Blind Faith and Kontraband every Monday at 'The Den', Colombo 3. According to rock musician Keerthi Fernando of the Den the performance by Shafi and Primal will start off at 9 pm and go on till late on Monday nights. The twosome in this weekly act create a much needed atmosphere for music lovers to appreciate their artistry in a chill out atmosphere.

Shafi needs no introduction. Ever since he made his debut with Purple Rain his audience arresting fretwork has always been a valuable thrust to the band he chooses to play with. As a member of Wildfire he is responsible for turning on the heat which sends the youth music lovers and dancers into a heady excitement. "I have decided to do a lot of new stuff which the young crowd would like to hear. So obviously my selection will be different to what I perform with Wildfire", says Shafi who is happy to meet up with his fans on a laid back beat.

Shafi

Primal Liyanage who came into the limelight playing with the folk band 'Flame' and now is a regular with Blind Faith and the salsa/Latin Kontraband, plays and sings the great hits of Don McLean, Beatles, Eagles and more.

His is a cool folk voice tinged with blues chords which endears him to many a fan. So experience this different music scene, with no bass and drums, but only two guitars and two voices an ideal scenario to unwind. Catch the Monday night chill out at the Den.
