Lankan beauties on world ramp Miss Sri Lanka for Miss Tourism International pageant may have run off the ramp months ago, but it has just spun-off three major beauty titles for three more world pageants...
Twenty one year-old Saiona flies to Germany with the two titles - "Miss Personality" and the second runner-up slot - she bagged at the local pageant, cosily tucked up her sleeve. Rising above the grime of modern beauty perils is a neat feat, her look seems to convey, for one groomed by the American University of Paris. Anushi Warnasuriya will be off to Beijing, China. Hers is the roulette wheel of the World Miss University Pageant in late November. Excelling in computer design know how at 21, she is a whirlpool of proactivity. Winning "Miss Photogenic" at the local pageant was no flash in the pan, as success followed her in quick succession, in commercials, photo shoots and modelling. Not sidelining her talents to beauty knots, she detoured to win the organizer's prize at the Miss Tourism International world pageant. The babe of the lot, teenager Gayani Jayasinghe, will pit her winning bets at Miss Tourism Intercontinental pageant in Saravak, Brunei. She has already made the reach and resonance of her beauty felt, by winning the crown as "Siddhalepa Queen" at the local pageant and the first runner-up Pedal at Model Vision 2001. Gayani is slotted in as a high prospect at pageantry and modelling. These three fresh-faced tourism ambassadors for Sri Lanka are poised to bring fame and glory to Mother Lanka. Once again launched by Sebastian A.C. Perera, Chairman, Celsin Ltd., the franchise director of these three world pageants and many other beauty pageants. |
