The first-ever sub-committee level meeting on immediate humanitarian and rehabilitation needs in North and the East between the government and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam will take place tomorrow, Monday November 18.

The government delegation is headed by the Director of the Peace Secretariat in Colombo and the Sri Lankan Ambassador to China Bernad Goonatilleke and the LTTE delegation led by S. P. Thamilchelvam, the leader of the organisation's political wing. The venue of the meeting will be at the Government Agent's office in Kilinochchi and the Norwegian Ambassador Jon Westborg will chair the discussions (A.P.).
