Industrial Security Foundation (ISF), Sri Lanka, Inc., the only professional body incorporated by an Act of government, will celebrate its tenth anniversary with an awards night at Galle Face Hotel, Colombo on November 22.

Interior Minister John Amaratunge will grace this occasion as the chief guest. The guests of honour will be Defence Minister Tilak Marapone, Secretary of Defence Austin Fernando and MP Chamal Rajapakse. The ISF has an experienced and a professional membership comprising senior officials of police and armed services.

ISF President SSP A. Wijetilleke told the media would be given to members who had a excellent service record as industrial security professionals.

"The three categories of awards are Fellow of ISF (FISF), Member of ISF (MISF), and Companies which are members of the ISF (Corporate)," he said.

"Awards will also be given to those who have contributed towards the development and progress of industrial security. Special award will be made to Newton Dassanayake, private sector security pioneer and Managing Director of the MIS," he said.

ISF executive members, its Immediate Past President and retired SSP and Security Consultant and Trainer S.B.W. de Silva, Vice Presidents Major R. U. D. S. Senanayake and Security Consultant L. C. Wewala, Secretary and SriLankan Airlines Security Manager L. D. A. I. Jayasekara, Treasurer N. A. S. Dassanayake, and Assistant Secretary of ISF W. Seneviratne were also present at the media briefing held in Colombo.
